Czech tourists rescued in Georgia
Two Czech tourists, one of whom had become traumatised at a height of 2,200 metres in the mountainous area of Svaneti (Western Georgia), were rescued in Georgia. The tourist became petrified on the hillside of the Chatini Mountain and was unable to move.
The other tourist managed to contact Operations Control Centre on '112' after which a special unit was sent to search for them.
Rescuers found them after a few hours and helped them back down.
The injured tourist was immediately sent to Mestia hospital in a helicopter. The doctors assessed her state as satisfactory.
