Bilateral co-op  in focus of Kazakh-Russian talks

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin had a phone conversation on July 31, Kazakh president's press-service reported.

"During the conversation, the heads of state discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as various integration agreements that have been signed," the report reads.

Nazarbayev and Putin also talked about major logistical aspects of the G-20 summit to be held in St. Petersburg.

In addition, the leaders of the two states discussed views on inter-regional cooperation, including the main issues on the agenda of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, which is expected to be held this year in Bishkek.

The sides noted the necessity of continuing to strengthen interaction at the bilateral and regional level.
