Iran’s civil servants to have travel discounts
Iran issued more than 3.4 million travel discount cards for retired civil servants, Managing director of Iran and World Tourism Investment Company Amrollah Mousavi said, IRIB reported.
The cards have been charged up to 3 million rials (about $120 based on the Tehran Forex Center's USD exchange rate of 24,800 rials), he added.
The pensioners can use the cards two times in different years, he noted.
Earlier this month, the Iranian Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Organization deputy director said Iran earned around $8 billion in tourism income in the past Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21.
