EU, Georgia to ink agreement on readmission
A protocol on the implementation of agreement on the readmission between the European Union and Georgia will be signed by the Austrian and Georgian governments.
The document will be signed within the visit of Georgian Interior Minister Irakli Gharibashvili to Austria. The ministry reported that on the Austrian side the protocol will be signed by the Austrian Interior Minister Johanna Mikl-Leitner.
The protocol defines implementational provisions of the agreement on readmission and regulates the specific details of cooperation between Georgia and Austria in this field.
Gharibashvili will also meet with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier. The sides will discuss the human rights situation in the separatist regions, as well as the recent reforms in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the prospects for future cooperation.
