Azerbaijan temporarily cuts gas supply to Iran

The transportation of gas from Azerbaijan to Iran will be suspended from July 2 due to repair work on the Astara-Kazimagomed main gas pipeline, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) reported on July 2.

"During this period of repairs on the gas pipeline, the gas supply to the Astara modular power station will also be suspended on July 3- 4," the report said.

Azerbaijan supplies gas to Iran within the framework of swap operations to provide the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with gas.
