Iran's ex-president Rafsanjani meets president-elect Rohani
Iran's former president Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani met with
country's president-elect Hassan Rohani on June 27, Mehr news
agency reported.
The details of the meeting were not revealed, except for that

ruling the country.
It should be noted that Rafsanjani himself registered to
participate at Iran's 2013 presidential elections, however was
denied due to his age.
Later, he, and another Iranian former president Mohammad Khatami
publicly expressed their support for Hassan Rohani.
At the elections, which were held on June 14, Rohani gathered 50.7

current president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad did not participate in the
elections due to country's constitutional laws.
