U.S. official to meet Turkmen president
The U.S. Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert O. Blake is travelling to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan from June 26-27, the State Department press service reported.
Assistant Secretary Blake will meet with President Kurbanguly Berdymukhamedov and other senior officials of the Turkmen government to discuss a full range of bilateral and regional issues including energy cooperation, human rights, economic development and international investments in Turkmenistan.
Assistant Secretary Blake will also hold a roundtable with press at the U.S. Embassy.
