Staff changes at Armenian defense ministry

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed a number of decrees on the personnel changes at the Ministry of Defence, the press service of the Armenian president reported, according to ARKA news agency.

Colonel Henrik Muradian was appointed military commissioner of Armenia for a period of five years.

By another decree, the service term of the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, lieutenant general Haykaz Baghramyan was extended for five years.

In addition, the head of the Organizational Mobilization Department of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Colonel Arakel Martikyan was dismissed and the ex-commander of the Fifth Army Corps of Armenian Defense Ministry, Major General Kamo Kochunts was appointed to the post.

Also, by decree of the Armenian president, Major General Ovik Ohanyan was dismissed from the post of the Commander of the second army corps of the Defense ministry and Major-General Poghos Poghosyan was appointed to this post. Poghosyan in his turn was dismissed from the post of the Commander of the Forth Army Corps.

Major General Andranik Makaryan will be the new commander of the Fourth Corps of the Armenian Defense Ministry.
