A number of violation acts have been revealed and sent to the Prosecutor General by the Armenian Control Chamber while fulfilling a comprehensive review of the Office of the Judicial and Legal Programs, Armenian report said.
The office implemented programs through financing of the World
Bank, the Japanese and the Dutch grants and state budget.
The Control Chamber said the Office artificially increased the cost
of contracts concluded within the construction tender, while the
contractual work was implemented at low quality.
The logistics was purchased at a price exceeding its real market
price by 2-3 times.
The most bizarre abuse was identified in terms of advisory costs,
when consulting providers were even unknown.
Meanwhile, massive financial irregularities have been revealed in
the regions of Armenia, the Armenian Finance Ministry said in a
report on the results of audits over the implementation of the 2012
state budget.
The check-ups revealed numerous financial irregularities and
shortcomings, including improper spending of the funding for
secondary schools, expenditure of funds sent from abroad and
allegedly aimed at the restoration of buildings, incorrect
designation of additional funds, etc.
Furthermore, local media reports that the Armenian Control Chamber
has exposed serious violations of law as a result of an inspection
conducted at the Yerevan mayor's office.
