General: Rumors on Israel's attack on Iran missiles in Syria is psychological war

Deputy Chief of the General Staff of Iran's Armed Forces, Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri has said that the rumors about the Iranian missile stockpile in Syria attacked by Israel are nothing but a psychological war, ISNA news agency reported.

According to the report, Jazayeri said on Monday that Israel's nature is based on invasion, while it is supported by the U.S. to make separation and hostilities among Muslims.

The Iranian general went on to say that the Syrian government and army are powerful enough to defeat rebels and don't need Iran's military aid.

Daily New York Times reported on Sunday that a series of powerful explosions rocked the outskirts of Damascus early in the morning on Sunday, which, according to Syrian state television, was the result of Israeli missile attacks on a Syrian military facility.

According to this report, the airstrikes conducted during the two days that Israeli warplanes were in Syria were directed at a shipment of advanced surface-to-surface missiles from Iran which, according to Israel, was intended for Hezbollah, unnamed American officials said on Saturday.
