Georgia launches new Chinese-made train

Georgian Railways JSC presented a new train on Tuesday, which will run from Tbilisi to the Black Sea resort of Batumi. It consists of four cars manufactured in China specifically for Georgia.

Head of Supervisory Board of Georgian Railways, Koka Guntsadze, said during the presentation at the central train station, it is a modern train, equipped with modern technology and a modern control system. The train provides comfortable conditions for passengers.

The train will make its first run on May 1. The cost of a one-way ticket is 18 lari (one dollar = 1.66 lari).
