Mahmoud Ahmadinejad calls for high turnout in presidential elections
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad urged the Iranian nation to
actively take part in the country's next presidential election
scheduled for June 14, IRNA reported.
'A 50-million-strong turnout in the country's upcoming presidential
election will break the enemy's back,' Ahmadinejad said on
Sunday.
He noted that such turnout will undoubtedly change the domestic and
international conditions in favor of the Iranian nation.
The president of Iran is elected for a four-year term in a national
election and the Guardian Council vets the candidates for
qualifications.
