Turkey offers Airbus to jointly manufacture planes
Turkish Transport, Shipping and Communications Minister Binali Yildirim put forward a proposal to Airbus for the establishment of co-production of the aircraft.
The minister voiced the proposal during the signing ceremony of a contract to purchase new aircraft for Turkish Airlines (Turk Hava Yolları) from Airbus, which was held in Istanbul. The total contract value is $13.5 billion.
Yildirim said Turkey is waiting for a response from Airbus regarding the co-production of aircraft.
