Turkish Airlines' aircraft forced to make emergency landing

A Turkish Airlines flight departing Istanbul Ataturk Airport on Tuesday morning for the Afghan capital of Kabul was forced to return for an emergency landing because of the risk of explosion, TRT Haber TV channel reported.

According to the report, the pilot reported that a mobile phone was found in the cockpit during the flight. Assuming it is a remote-controlled bomb, he headed back to Istanbul.

Following the emergency landing at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, the police and security forces inspected the aircraft.

According to the latest information, no explosive devices were found as a result of the inspection.
