Ahmadinejad condemns senior official's arrest
Iran's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that he has heard about the arrest of head of Iran's social security organization Saeed Mortazavi, IRNA news agency reported.
"Unfortunately I am aware of his arrest, and this is really ugly. When I am back from my trip to Egypt, I will definitely pursue this issue seriously," Ahmadinejad said at the airport prior to his leaving to Egypt.
Fars news agency reported citing informed sources that Mourtazavi was arrested on charges of illegal possession of government property.
