Sargsyan becomes fourth presidential candidate

Serzh Sargsyan became the fourth presidential candidate in the 2013 Armenian elections, Trend news agency reported referring to ArmenianReport.

Today, the acting president of Armenia, leader of ruling Republican Party Serzh Sargsyan presented his documents to the Central Election Committee (CEC) for participation in the upcoming presidential elections on February 18, 2013.

As of Thursday, December 27, four candidates have lodged papers with the CEC.

Documents were recently submitted by nonpartisan Mher Hayrapetyan, epos specialist Vardan Sedrakyan and chairman of the National Self-Determination Union Paruyr Hayrikyan.

The deadline for nomination of candidacies is January 4. Registration of candidates will start on January 5 and end on January 14.
