Timoshenko’s husband granted refugee status in Czech Republic – FM
The husband of Ukraine’s jailed former prime minister Yulia Timoshenko, Alexander, was not granted a political asylum in the Czech Republic, he got a refugee status, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Dikusarov told a news conference on Thursday, Itar-Tass reported.
"The Czech legislation even contains no norm that would stipulate the granting of political asylum. He really has a refugee status and he was granted it of his own free will," he said.
