Colony administration: Statkevich to follow criminal path
The administration of the colony № 17 in Shklou (Mahiliou voblast) believes that ex-presidential candidate Nikolai Statkevich is a "malicious violator" of the order, who has refused to follow the path of correction. The colony demands to keep the politician in jail for three years. Such an image of NIkolai Statkevich for upcoming court was presented by the Head of IR-17, S.V. Ermolitski, Telegraph reported.
"He is seeking no early release on parole, but is going to be free after serving his sentence and to lead a criminal lifestyle in the future," he noted, the website of Nikolai Statkevich.
According to the site, the politician was recognized the "malicious violator" when his letters from prison appeared in the media. A week after he got all the penalties, then he was placed it in the punishment cell, and then in the lockup for a month.
"It is clear that the prison is not the best place, but it does not change my position. I do not plead guilty to the acts I am proud of. I thank people who helped the Belarusians to respect their nation," said Statkevich.
As Telegraf previously reported, Nikolai Statkevich will soon go to trial for violation of the sentence in the penal colony. This was reported by the politician’s wife, Marina Adamovich, on January 3. "Nikolai faces a tougher prison regime for the alleged violations of the regular prison discipline," she said.
According to Marina Adamovich, the court may be held on January 12, after which Statkevich will be transported to jail in Mahiliou.
