Armenian ex-president aims at helm of state
The staunchly-opposition former Armenian president Levon
Ter-Petrosian will submit his candidacy at the next presidential
elections, Armenia Today news agency quoted the spokesman for the
Ter-Petrosian-led Armenian National Congress as saying.
"Levon Ter-Petrosian has been the real candidate for the Armenian president’s post and this is still the case," Arman Musinyan said.
Commenting on circulating rumors that the former president intends to gradually withdraw from big politics, Musinyan advised to ignore such reports.
"These are nothing but non-serious views of certain individuals and we should not concentrate our attention on them," the spokesman added.*
