Ambassador: Iran became powerful state in region
By Trend
Forces that were previously predicting the failure of the Islamic Revolution in Iran today say that Iran is an important state in the region and in the Middle East, said the Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan Javad Jahangirzadeh Feb. 11.
He was addressing the event dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
“Exactly forty years ago, the Iranian people, led by Imam Khomeini, carried out a revolution. After the revolution, Iran became a powerful state in the region,” the ambassador said.
The ambassador added: "I wish Azerbaijan to become stronger and stronger every day."
