Turkey's Armed Forces openedfire at the positions of the YPG / PYD terrorists, as well as the PKK in the north of Syria's Ain al-Arab (Kobane) district, Turkish media reported on Oct. 31.
As a result of the shelling, at least six terrorists were killed.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had earlier said that Turkey’s launch of a new military operation in Syria against the YPG/PYD terrorists, as well as the PKK, was a matter of time.
On Oct. 28, the Turkish Armed Forces shelled the positions of the YPG/PYD terrorists in northern Syria. An artillery strike was inflicted on the positions of terrorists in the Zor Magar district of Ayn al-Arab (Kobani) city in northern Syria.
Zor Magar is located on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River and represents a strategically important height from which the border with Turkey can be seen.
