Hearings on the American pastor Andrew Brunson's case will begin today in the Court for Grave Crimes of Turkey's Izmir Province, Turkish media reported.
This morning, Brunson, under special protection, was taken to the courthouse.
This will be the fourth hearing on Brunson's case, media reports say.
Earlier, Ismail Halavurt, the lawyer of the US pastor Andrew Brunson, convicted in Turkey, filed an appeal to the Constitutional Court of the country.
Halavurt appealed to the Court for Serious Crimes of Turkey to cancel the decision on the house arrest of Brunson.
Previously, US President Donald Trump promised to impose sanctions against Turkey for detaining the pastor, who is accused of being connected to the 2016 coup attempt in Turkey.
A court in the Turkish province of Izmir decided earlier to transfer Brunson to house arrest. By the court decision dated July 25, Brunson is prohibited from leaving Turkey.
