As of September 24, 13 million 950.3 tons of grain have been
harvested in Kazakhstan, Kazinform reported.
The agricultural producers have cleared over 10.8 million
hectares, or 72.1 percent of the total harvesting area of the
regions as of the reporting date, the Ministry of Agriculture
stated.
The average yield amounted to 12.9 tons per hectare.
Some 14.46 million hectares or 94.4 percent of the total
harvesting area of the regions of Kazakhstan were cleared, 19.35
million tons of grain were cropped on the same date of 2017. The
average yield amounted to 13.4 quintals per hectare.
The territory of harvesting areas has amounted to more than 15
million hectares in Kazakhstan in 2018, the harvesting areas
located on the area of 15,318,600 hectares in 2017.
Moreover, the total area of 15,122,600 hectares was planted this
year in the course of the sowing campaign, and 15,411,600 hectares
were planted last year.
