OSCE holds regional conference on good governance in Ashgabat

A two-day OSCE regional ministerial conference on good governance opened in Ashgabat May 30, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The event was organized under the auspices of the OSCE and the Government of Turkmenistan. On the first day of the conference, a plenary meeting and sessions were held.
There was a discussion on governance as a factor of economic growth and interconnectedness, the impact of the use of the digital economy on security, the impact of good governance on the creation of a favorable business and investment climate.
The forum is attended by representatives and experts of the OSCE member states, a number of international organizations, including specialized UN structures, and representatives of ministries of Turkmenistan.
Representatives of Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, Ambassador Natalya Drozd, Head of the OSCE Center in Ashgabat and others spoke at the plenary session.
