Uzbekistan, EU consider issues of bilateral ties

An Uzbek delegation held a meeting with European Union Special Representative for Central Asia Peter Burian, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a message.
The sides discussed promising areas for development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU.
The sides also reviewed the implementation of agreements reached during the visit of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini to Uzbekistan on Nov. 9-10, 2017.
The participants exchanged views on launching negotiations and signing an updated agreement on partnership and cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union.
The diplomats of Uzbekistan and the EU further reviewed the schedule and agenda of forthcoming bilateral contacts, meetings of joint institutions of interaction and other events.
