Turkey is ready to support the development of the Central Asian countries, Turkish media cited the country’s Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci as saying on November 10.
Zeybekci made the remarks during his visit to Uzbekistan.
“Solidarity between the Central Asian countries is extremely important as it is beneficial not only for the region, but for the whole world,” the minister added.
Zeybekci also stressed that Turkey pays special attention to the development of relations with the Central Asian countries.
Currently, 479 companies with Turkish capital, including 199 joint ventures, operate in Uzbekistan. More than 20 companies were established in Uzbekistan with Turkish investments in 2016.
Representative offices of 53 Turkish companies have been accredited under the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade.
