Aktobe region leads in Kazakhstan for growth in manufacturing sector

Major enterprises of Kazakhstan's Aktobe region set to invest 400 billion tenge in technological modernization.

Akim of the Aktobe region Berdybek Saparbayev got acquainted with the process of technological modernization of regional enterprises within the framework of the implementation of the President's Address "The Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness", the press service of the region reports.

Saparbayev visited Energosystem LLP and the Aktobe Ferroalloys Plant and familiarized with the modernization process. These two enterprises largely affect the regional economy. By the end of the year, they plan to invest 12 billion tenge in technical re-equipment.

Deputy Akim of the Aktobe region Kairat Bekenov informed that the technological modernization allowed to increase output of the industrial enterprises.

The Aktobe region took the first place in the country in terms of growth in the manufacturing sector.

This year, 20 enterprises are expected to undergo modernization, which will cost 12 billion tenge. To date, work has been completed at 15 enterprises for a total volume of 9.5 billion tenge. By the end of the year, another 5 enterprises are expected to improve the technological process, which will cost 2.5 billion tenge.

In the next 5 years, enterprises will modernize equipment and processes worth at least 400 billion tenge. The major enterprises are also working on the implementation of elements of the Industrialization 4.0, as a result of which, additional output growth is expected by the end of the year.

Industry 4.0 facilitates the “smart factory” and is a concept covering future oriented individualized automation, deep learning and smart technologies, new services and people development concepts.
