By Trend

Visiting Foreign Minister of Togo Robert Dussey has conferred his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif on Sunday to discuss expansion of bilateral ties.

The sides discussed regional and international issues including the need for combating terrorism as well as the ways for broadening trade ties between the two countries, Mehr news agency reported.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, earlier in May, called for expansion of ties with Africa. Togo is a West African nation on the Gulf of Guinea.
