Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan seek to expand interaction

The heads of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan confirmed their readiness to develop multifaceted cooperation during a telephone conversation that took place on October 26, Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA) reported.
Uzbek acting President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the country’s independence and wished him new successes in his responsible work, and the well-being and further progress to the friendly people of Turkmenistan.
During the conversation the leaders of Uzbekistan and
Turkmenistan discussed the pace of implementation of the
agreements, reached at recent bilateral meetings on various levels,
on priority areas of further enhancing mutually beneficial
cooperation in political, diplomatic, commercial, economic,
transport and communications, cultural-humanitarian and other
spheres.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov confirmed the firm
willingness to steadily continue and develop constructive,
trust-based and open Uzbek-Turkmen dialogue in all areas of the
bilateral agenda and on international issues for the well-being of
the two friendly nations, as well as for the security and stability
in the Central Asian region.
