New director general of SOCAR-KBR JV appointed

Alp Togay Kurum has been appointed the new director general of SOCAR Kellogg Brown & Root Services B.V (SOCAR KBR LLC, a joint venture of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR and the US’s KBR), Turkish media reported June 29.
Earlier, Kurum served as senior business development manager at the company.
SOCAR-KBR LLC was created in 2015 to provide design, engineering, technical, consultancy, procurement, construction supervision and project management services for all brownfield and greenfield projects across the upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas sectors.
SOCAR-KBR LLC will build upon KBR's long-term project experience in Azerbaijan to perform project management services from its established offices in Baku for the Heydar Aliyev Baku oil refinery modernization project.
