Ghana interested in Azerbaijani energy sector's experience

Ghana is interested in using the experience of Azerbaijan in the energy sector, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Natig Aliyev said at a meeting with Ghana Energy Minister Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah in Baku.

According to Armah-Kofi Buah, implementation of various bilateral and multilateral projects is required, Azerbaijan Energy Ministry said on November 19.

In turn, Aliyev said Azerbaijan is always ready to support projects aimed to increase cooperation. In particular, Ghana's proposals on cooperation will be carefully studied and considered.

On November 16, Azerbaijan`s Prime Minister Artur Rasizade met with Armah-Kofi Buah.

The sides praised opportunities for developing relations between the two countries.

Armah-Kofi Buah reported on his country`s economy and expressed Ghana`s keenness to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields of economy.

Rasizade said Azerbaijan is ready to support projects aimed to deepening the bilateral cooperation.

Earlier this year, an agreement between the Azerbaijan State oil company (SOCAR) and African gas company Gasol was signed to provide floating gas storage and re-gasification vessel to Cotonou harbor in Benin. Gasol said the alliance would represent a major step towards bringing gas to Benin, Togo and Ghana.
