Kazakhstan ups petrol price
The cost of a liter of AI- 92 petrol increased up to 115 tenge (153.72 tenge = $ 1) in Kazakhstan since October 25, the Kazakh Agency for Regulation of Natural Monopolies reported.
The marginal prices on retail sales of petroleum products with the state regulation of prices are as follows: diesel fuel - 102 tenge per liter, AI 80 - 89 tenge per liter, AI 92 - 115 tenge per liter including VAT.
The agency reported that the rise in petrol price in Kazakhstan is connected with several factors. The increase in the marginal price on A- 92 petrol from 110 tenge to 115 tenge per liter is connected with increased values of quotations for Brent which hit $109.65 per barrel.
"Moreover, the tariffs for domestic railway transportation of petroleum products have been increased by an average of 44 per cent since January 2013 in connection with a phased tariff unification according to the types (domestic, export and import) in accordance with the WTO requirements and the agreement on the regulation of the rail transport services, worked out within the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space," the agency reported.
