Six new well commissioned on Oil Rocks field this year
Oil and gas production unit (OGPU) Oil Rocks of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has produced 453,200 tons of oil, OGPU head Gojali Mahmudov's article published on Wednesday in Republic newspaper said.
"Some 448.96 tons of oil out of the total oil volume produced by the OGPU in January-June were transferred to the state," he noted.
Currently, the operational fund of the OGPU includes 490 wells, with 429 in operation. Six new wells were commissioned in the first six months by the OGPU.
SOCAR includes Azerneft (enterprises for oil and gas production on land and sea), Azerikimya (chemical industry enterpises) and Azerigas production associations.
In addition, the SOCAR has a number of processing and service enterprises, and institutions engaged in geophysical and drilling activities.
