Azerbaijan's SOCAR opens new well in Caspian Sea
Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR has commissioned a new well in the shallow part of Guneshli field, the report released by SOCAR on June 27 said.
According to the report, daily production rate of the well, which was drilled from the Gunashli-13 platform, is 46 tons of oil and 11 million cubic meters of gas.
The deep-water part of the Guneshli field is being developed by SOCAR jointly with foreign companies in the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil and gas fields' block.
SOCAR includes production associations, such as Azerneft (the companies producing oil and gas on land and sea), Azerikimya (chemical industry enterprise) and Azerigas.
In addition, SOCAR has a number of processing enterprises, service enterprises, institutions engaged in geophysical and drilling activities.
