Turkish energy minister to visit Azerbaijan shortly

Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz is expected to visit Azerbaijan shortly, the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources told Trend news agency.

The purpose of the visit is to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF), to be held in Baku on April 7-8.

During the visit, Yildiz will also hold meetings with Azerbaijani officials.

The World Economic Forum organises the forum on 'Strategic dialogue on the future of the South Caucasus and Central Asia' in Baku on April 7-8, the WEF said.

Issues of developing such sectors as industry, natural resources, transport, infrastructure, agriculture, finance and telecommunications will be discussed at the Baku forum.

It will become an important platform for regional and global players for evaluating the main challenges and opportunities associated with the future of the region and contribute to the development of cooperation and integration in the South Caucasus and Central Asia, according to the World Economic Forum's website.
