Over 180 Azerbaijani settlements gasified in 2012
Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR's Azerigaz Production Association gasified 184 settlements in 2012, SOCAR said, Trend news agency reported.
Azerigaz deals with gas transportation and distribution in Azerbaijan.
According to the report, 119,527 new subscribers were provided with gas last year.
During 2012, much attention was paid to the gasification of settlements located in the frontline regions and in border areas. The gasification process in Agdam and Gazakh regions was completed in 2012, the report said.
The gasification process will be fully completed in Azerbaijan in 2013. Until the end of this year, gasification will be increased to 95% compared to the current 80%.
