Uzbekistan bans LNG transit by vehicles
Uzbekistan's government has passed a decision imposing a ban on the transit of liquefied gas through the country's territory by vehicles from January 1, 2013, Azerbaijani news agency Trend reported.
A relevant document was adopted in order to ensure national security, public order, health of the population, and environmental protection. the preamble of the document says.
The Uzbek Foreign Ministry and Automobile and River Transport Agency were instructed to inform transporters about the ban on LNG transit.
