SOCAR to sell 170.000 tons of oil from Russian port in November
Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR will sell 170.000 tons of oil from the Russian port of Novorossiysk in November.
Oil from Novorossiysk will be shipped in two batches, both - 85.000 tons.
In total, over 3.11 million tons of oil will be shipped in November from Novorossiysk.
SOCAR is shipping oil from its own fields, as well as oil from joint ventures and operating companies working in the onshore fields of Azerbaijan through Novorossiysk. The oil is delivered to the port via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
SOCAR exported 1.99 million tons of oil in 2011, compared to 2.24 million tons in 2010. In 2009 it exported 2.5 million tons of oil compared to 1.2 million tons in 2008.
Till late 2007 AIOC was the operator of Azeri part of the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline, later these functions were passed to SOCAR.
The schedule of oil transportation from the port of Novorossiysk in November is granted to Trend news agency by Energy Intelligence Group agency.
