SOCAR exports 1.43m tons of oil from Russia's Novorossiysk
Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR exported over 1.43 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk northern route pipeline in January-September compared to 1.46 million tons in the same period of last year, SOCAR said.
SOCAR exported 159,600 tons of oil from Russia's Novorossiysk in September compared to about 210,000 tons in September 2011.
In 2011, SOCAR exported 1.99 million tons of oil via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline compared to 2.24 million tons in 2010.
SOCAR transships its own oil, as well as oil of joint ventures and operating companies working in Azerbaijan's onshore fields via Novorossiysk.
Until late 2007, AIOC was the operator of Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline. The consortium then transferred the operatorship to SOCAR.
