1.8m tons of oil transshipped via west-bound pipeline
About 1.8 million tons of Azerbaijani oil was transshipped through the western route export pipeline Baku-Supsa in the first half of 2012, the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation said.
"Oil transshipment through the Supsa terminal decreased by 13 per cent compared to the same period of last year," a statement said.
The company did not transport oil through this route in 2007 due to repairs on the BP-operated pipeline, which was opened in November 2006. The pipeline was filled with oil in mid-2008, but was later suspended due to the Georgian-South Ossetian conflict. Oil transportation was resumed in early November 2008
