Shah Deniz gas output restarts-BP
Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz gas platform has restarted after a technical problem slashed supplies to neighbouring Turkey late on Monday, with output expected to rise through Wednesday, a spokeswoman for operator BP said.
"We have now restarted production operations on the Shah Deniz platform," the spokeswoman for BP's Caspian Sea operations said on Wednesday afternoon.
"We expect to ramp up production over the course of the day."
Flows of Azeri gas to Turkey stopped on Tuesday, depriving it of gas needed to meet high winter demand, after Shah Deniz shut down automatically on Monday night after a technical fault.
It was not immediately clear whether gas supplies at the Turkish border have recovered yet.
