BP committed to Azeri energy projects despite sell-out speculation
BAKU - BP has signed a new agreement affirming its commitment to
oil and gas projects in Azerbaijan, despite press speculation that
the top foreign investor in the country’s oil and gas sector would
sell its stake in the resource-rich Caspian state.
The agreement, signed with Azerbaijan’s state energy firm SOCAR in
Baku on Tuesday, defines the basic commercial principles for a
production sharing agreement for the Shafag and Asiman offshore
block.
