He made the remarks on May 24 at a press conference dedicated to the opening of exhibitions in Baku on May 29.

"This year 312 companies from 38 countries will take part in Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition. The national groups will be presented by Italy, Belarus and Russia. This year's exhibition has expanded thanks to the addition of new companies, which accounted for 20 percent of the total number of participants. Most of them are foreign participants, showing high interest in the oil and gas market of Azerbaijan. Forty percent of the exhibition area will be occupied by well-known companies that are permanent participants of the exhibition," Mammadov said.

He also noted that during the years of the exhibition about 7,500 companies from more than 70 countries took part in the event.

"Special postage stamps were issued for the first time on occasion of the anniversary exhibition. Also the "Caspian Gold" perfume, developed by perfumers of Azerbaijan will be presented," Mammadov said.

Traditionally, for many years, state oil company SOCAR has been acting as the general sponsor of the Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition, BP and Equinor companies – as gold sponsors, TPAO – as silver sponsor, and Azeri M-I Drilling Fluids, AZFEN, Baku Steel Company, Bos Shelf, SOCAR Polymer, CDC, CMS, Global Energy Azerbaijan, Tekfen Construction, and Russian export center are listed among the bronze sponsors.
