SOCAR, UAE firm to sign deal on tapping onshore field
The Azerbaijani state energy firm SOCAR and a
company based in the UAE`s Dubai Emirate are expected to sign an
agreement on the rehabilitation and development of an onshore field
outside Baku.
Talks to that end have drawn to a close, the Baku-based Lider TV channel quoted a SOCAR source as saying. The document is to be inked in the Azerbaijani capital late in February.
The two companies had previously held talks on tapping the field, one of the oldest deposits in the republic that is located in the Buzovna settlement, but failed to reach agreement.
