Baku hosts award ceremony for FIG World Cup winners PHOTO
A ceremony of awarding the winners, medalists in all-around competitions of the FIG World Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics in the exercises with hoop and ball was held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku July 24.
Vice-president of the Technical Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Noha Abou Shabana, FIG Secretary General Andre Gueisbuhler and the international relations’ manager of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation Mehman Aliyev attended the event.
FIG Cup was also awarded for four best results in nine stages of the 2016 World Cup.
In the exercises with hoop, Russian gymnast Margarita Mamun won the award, while another Russian athlete Aleksandra Soldatova got the award in the exercises with ball.
The awards were presented by FIG Secretary General Andre Gueisbuhler and vice-president of FIG Technical Committee Noha Abou Shabana.
