Foreigners and stateless persons, residing in Azerbaijan, from now on may extend their period of stay in the country online.

Those, who wish to extend their stay in Azerbaijan for more than 10 days, may be registered at the location through the portal of "electronic government" (www.e-gov.az).

E-service “Reception of documents for registration at the place of stay” is now available in the section of Migration Service of Azerbaijan.

To use the portal, one does not need to register. The user only needs to specify whether he or she is legal or individual person.

During registration an individual person need to upload a photo, copy of identity card and specify relevant information about him/herself in the relevant sections.

Next, the one must specify security code in the relevant section, and click on the link sending the e-mail and enter password, and complete the operation.

Notification about the request is sent to the citizen within one working day. The service is available in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages.

The e-government portal is a key tool for supporting work with the public and private sectors, citizens and businesses. It aims to reduce the number of documents requested from citizens due to the fact that different bodies interact with each other electronically.
