From now on foreigners can enjoy e-visa to Azerbaijan

Recent amendments made to a number of documents on obtaining e-visa to Azerbaijan have entered into force June 6, 2016.
Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers announced that the recent order of President Ilham Aliyev on facilitation of issuance of e-visas and the establishment of ASAN Viza system will make life easier for many travelers wishing to visit the country, Trend reports.
The amendments concern the "Procedure for filling visa form", "Visa application form" sample and the decision "On approval of "Request of party, which invited foreigner or person without citizenship to Azerbaijan "sample."
Under the amendments, the procedure for obtaining an e-visa by foreigners at the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry has been defined, and the sample of application form to obtain this visa in Azerbaijan has been confirmed.
The decree was signed in order to simplify procedure for issuing visas to foreigners and stateless persons arriving in Azerbaijan, as well as creation of an e-visa system ensuring transparency and efficiency with the use of modern information technologies.
Foreigners, who are willing to visit Azerbaijan, will be able to
get visas online, after Azerbaijan launches its "ASAN Visa"
system.
Visas will be issued through a single online portal within three
days without applying to state organizations. Foreign citizens,
tourists can use the services of the ASAN Viza portal to arrive in
Azerbaijan.
The only thing to do, instead of going to the diplomatic mission and talking with foreign officials, is to enter requested details onto "ASAN Viza" and pay the proper stamp duty. And three days later, the visa will be sent to e-mail of an applicant.
Experts believe that the order will create an opportunity for tourist flow to Azerbaijan and development of tourism in the country.
Despite introduction of the new system, other types of visa issuing will also be valid.
