Vice-president of Italian Senate: SGC is very important for diversification of energy sources
The Southern Gas Corridor is very important for diversification of sources of energy, said Vice President of the Italian Senate Linda Lanzillotta.
“Our support for the Southern Gas Corridor project is very strong. This project was supported in the European Union. Italy is very strongly convinced to go ahead with the project. Now we are in the concrete activity of the realization.”
Linda Lanzilotta also commented on Azerbaijani-Italian relations: “There are very important initiatives and positive development in relations between Azerbaijan and Italy. I am aware of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s contributions to the heritage. There was huge role of Azerbaijan in Milano Expo that we have in Italy. So I hope and I am convinced that our relations could develop more and more in the future”.
“The Global Baku forum is a great initiative, offering wide networking within the many countries and allowing the exchange of views and understanding between different countries which is very important and useful in this period,” she added, Azertac state news agency reported.
