Azerbaijan’s Armed Forces have staged tactical flight drills with involvement of the combat helicopters on November 11.

Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov directly supervised the drills, which were also observed by Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov, the defense ministry reported.

During the exercises, pilots conducted tasks on detecting various facilities of conditional enemy and its moving and stationary armored vehicles.

They executed other regulatory tasks as well. The drills also involved inspection of state of preparedness of ground services to deploy aviation hardware on supplementary and operational airfields.

Afterwards, drills proceeded with destruction of a variety of targets using guided missiles.

All the tasks assigned by the defense minister were successfully completed. Hasanov highly praised the drills’ results.

Azerbaijan holds regular military drills to check the training level and fighting capability of the army.

In early October, the air force carried out combat firing practice with Buk-MB anti-aircraft missile battalion complexes which are included in the arsenal of air defense troops.

Azerbaijani Army held the major command and staff military exercises in September.

The Azerbaijani leadership empowers the military and has moved to formulate the necessary armament policy by adhering to international requirements.

Azerbaijan's military build-up is in line with the country's legal right to liberate its occupied lands by means of war, should it be necessary.
