Britain`s Azeris found paper
A group of Azerbaijanis receiving education in
Britain have founded a newspaper.
The paper, entitled Odlar Yurdu (The Land of Fire), an expression symbolically applied to Azerbaijan, will be a monthly edition published in their national language.
"Our mission is to further strengthen the unity of Azerbaijanis living abroad and the bonds among them," its editor-in-chief, Ilham Naghiyev, said in an exclusive interview with AzerNEWS.
Odlar Yurdu will be available not only in Britain, but also in several other European countries. Naghiyev said the publication had broad plans and would try to increase its circulation as soon as possible.
"Certainly, everything depends on the response of our readership, but I am hopeful that our newspaper will turn into our Diaspora`s favorite print media outlet in a short time," Naghiyev said.
